If you receive the message 'Could not log into the Bethesda.net servers' when trying to access the Mods menu, proceed to the following troubleshooting steps:
- Check the Bethesda Support Twitter account to see if there are any planned maintenances or outages.
- Ensure that your computer is connected to the network and that nothing is blocking your game from accessing the internet.
- Add an exception for your game to your virus protection and firewall.
- Confirm that your Username and password are correct by logging into the Bethesda.net website.
- Run a network connection test. Instructions on how to do so can be found here.
- If you are connected to the internet via wireless, try switching to a wired connection and see if there is any improvement.
- If there is another network available, try connecting to it instead and see if there is any improvement.
- Reboot your home network by turning off your modem and / or router.
- To ensure a hard reset, we recommend you unplug your modem's or router's power connections and wait a few minutes before plugging them back in and turning the device back on.
